Oxbridge Preparation Weekend (Online)

Our unique weekend-long course has been carefully designed to give applicants an advantageous edge when it comes to successful applications to either the University of Oxford or Cambridge. Over the weekend, students will benefit from the expertise of our tutors, who are Oxbridge graduates themselves, as well as admission tutors.

The Oxbridge preparation programme will run from a Friday to Sunday, allowing students plenty of time to work closely with tutors in their chosen field of study and thus develop a thorough understanding of the techniques and skills required.

Tutors will work with applicants in their interview technique, providing feedback and communication tips, improving their subject related skills and knowledge, and will interview each applicant in a mock interview. Each workshop is designed it fully manage expectations of the Oxbridge interview process.

Please Note: We are currently considering the means of delivering our Oxbridge Preparation Weekend in a way that is both fully effective, and fully compliant with the Government’s guidelines regarding social distancing, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Example Weekend Structure & Content

Friday

On Friday, after morning registration, students and parents are invited to attended talks from Oxbridge graduates and admissions experts. This will set out the outline for the weekend, as well as introduce applicants to what admission tutors are looking for.

In the afternoon, Students will be able to improve their communication skills and interview techniques by working closely with our tutors. Practising interview-style questions in an interview scenario, applicants will learn how to best present their answer to demonstrate their intellectual ability.

Following this, mock admission tests will be available to be taken if applicable, and feedback will be on offer from our expert tutors and advisors.

Saturday

Saturday is focused on subject tutorials and further developing their technique. Thinking within their subject groups, students will be able to gain an understanding of the Oxbridge tutorial experience and teaching style, helping them to understand what type of student admission tutors look for. Applicants will also be able to work with tutors to build a plan for tackling any admission tests.

Sunday

Sunday is dedicated to practising for interviews and concluding the weekend. Students will be able to apply the skills and knowledge they will have built up over the programme with practise interviews, enabling them to become more familiar with the interview environment so nerves don’t overshadow their ability on the big day!

In the afternoon, there will be time for questions from both students and parents, concluding the weekend’s experiences.
