Oxbridge Preparation Day

Your application to Oxford or Cambridge will ultimately rest on your interview. On our Oxbridge Preparation Days, our first-class tutors will help you practise the skills and techniques required to ensure success during your interview and show you what admission tutors look for.

For students applying to Oxbridge, understanding the process and types of questions asked during the interview stage is vital to make it seem a little less daunting. Our Preparation Days offer extraordinary opportunities for applicants to work with tutors who have themselves graduated from Oxbridge and leading medical schools, and can therefore offer insider advice. Every aspect of the application process is covered, from whether to chose Oxford or Cambridge to interviews. Faced with the increasing need for services to be delivered online, we have adapted our programme to ensure that all students can work with our expert tutors, even if remotely.

When to book our Oxbridge Preparation Days

We deliver a carefully tailored programme to support applicants at whatever stage they are in. Across the academic year, we offer the following programmes:

Spring Term

  • Aspiring to Oxbridge. Learn tips and advice on the Oxbridge application process for those planning far in advance. This programme is open to students as young as 14-years-old.

  • The Reality of Oxbridge. This programme works to correct misconceptions and manage student expectations of the application to Oxbridge or Medical school.

Summer Term

  • Oxbridge & Medical School Preparation. Students will have the opportunity to receive detailed guidance on beginning the application process, including personal statement planning and preparing for future admissions tests and interviews.

Autumn Term

  • Practical Preparation. A series of sessions and tailored workshops aim to help students prepare for their admission tests and interviews. Our expert tutors will provide full feedback so you can continually grow and improve your performance.

  • Interview Preparation Masterclass. This session offers final support for the Oxbridge and Medical school interviews, to provide applicants with last-minute expertise and advice. The aim is to help students feel confident as they draw closer to their interviews.

What does the Oxbridge Preparation Day include?

Our programmes can be carefully and thoughtfully adapted to your student’s needs. Applicants will have access to a tutor who has graduated from either Oxford or Cambridge themselves. Under the tutor’s tutelage, pupils will be guided through the entire application process and given helpful tips on how to prepare for any admissions tests and interviews.

Oxbridge-style Question Workshop

To develop their intellectual ability and critical thinking skills, students will be put into groups divided by subject and given questions by the tutor. As Oxbridge interview and admission test questions are often unlike anything students will have seen before, this provides a fantastic opportunity to work on their answers and hear peer feedback.

Mock interview

During the mock interview, our trained tutor will lead students through an imitation interview so they may experience the type of questions that will be asked. After each session, the tutor will provide full feedback with helpful tips to improve their performance.

Practice Admission Tests

Students taking admission tests as part of their Oxbridge application will have the opportunity to look at relevant test papers, including the BMAT, TSA, and MAT.

Personal Statement Workshop

These workshops allow students time to ask our experts any questions they may have about their personal statements, while working on their own.
